IV extracts the audio from video files before transcribing the audio, and the processing requirements are based on the total duration of the audio.
We strongly recommend you determine the actual duration of the files as it is hard to accurately estimate the duration of the audio from the file sizes. Video can vary from 100MB per hour to over 100GB per hour – a variation of more than 1000x.
If you wish to produce an estimate based on file size we recommend using an online tool such as OmniCalculator Video File Size Calculator. Note that if you have multiple video formats then it will need to be done separately for each video format.
